    Description: 
    Four relief medallions representing the four disciplines of the Institute: Primitive Drawing, Primitive Construction, Primitive Music and Primitive Language. Primitive Language shows a figure communicating with his/her young. Primitive Drawing features a kneeling native american in profile next to a rock carved with a bison and two antelope. Primitive Music is illustrated with a seated female in profile playing a drum. A small child stands behind her holding several arrows. Primitive Construction is depicted with a bearded male in profile holding a triangle in his proper left hand an a compass in this proper right hand. In the foreground are two designs produced using the drawing instruments.
