    Remarks:
The sculpture is based on a sketch by Leonard H. Grosse, President of Bronze Inc., who had witnessed such a scene on a Montana ranch. He commissioned Florence Gray to transfer the sketch to bronze. Gray teamed up with Torrey to produce the finished sculpture. The sculpture was purchased by Donald B. Keller. Prior to its placement at the cemetery, the sculpture was on display in Chicago's Hilton Hotel, the Children's Museum of Indianapolis and in the lobby of Merchant's National Bank.
