    Description: 
    A fountain sculpture depicting a nude female nymph riding on the back of a large fish. Her feet wrapped around the fish's tail and her proper left hand is placed on the fish's mouth. Beneath the fish is a spray of waves adorned with fountain spouts. The glaze on the fountain sculpture is a mottled aqua-green color. The sculpture is mounted on a low base in the center of a small rectangular basin.

    Remarks: 
    The fountain was created under the Federal Art Program of the Works Progress Administration. The inscription on a plaque located on the wall behind fountain reads: SEA NYMPH/by Clivia Calder Executed 1938/UNDER THE FEDERAL ART PROGRAM OF THE W.P.A. The inscription on another plaque below it reads: FOUNTAIN RESTORED 1988/IN MEMORY OF/PATRICIA KAROL NORTON MORE/A.B. U OF M 1958/MICHIGAN LEAGUE BOARD OF GOVERNORS 1977-1983.
