Description:
A portrait of Schuyler Colfax standing on a tiered pedestal with a relief on front. Colfax stands with his proper right hand extended outward, palm facing up. He holds papers in his proper left hand which he places on his hip. Colfax wears an overcoat over a Prince Albert coat. The sculpture is mounted on a tiered pedestal, decorated with a relief of Isaac and Rebecca at the well. On the northwest and southwest sides of the pedestal are I.O.O.F. emblems of a shield and a medieval tent with crossed staves.
