Description:
Two bronze relief panels flank the east entrance to the
state
capitol building. The relief on the left depicts two women folding laundry into a basket. In the center of the panel stand two men, one dressed in uniform and the other in a suit holding a top hat. They are speaking to a woman. On the right side of the panel is a row of receding hospital pallets with wounded soldiers. The closest soldier is being tended by a doctor and a nurse who sit on either side of his bed. The panel on the right depicts
