Portrait of a woman facing almost forward, her head turned to the left, and her gaze directed off to the left. She wears a dark blue dress with a white scarf draped around the neck and tucked in along the neckline. A red broach is fastened to the scarf. On her head she wears a white or grey ruffled bonnet that is tied with a bow beneath her chin. A bow appears to be tied on the top of the bonnet as well. She has blue eyes and her red hair is parted down the middle with small ringlets framing her face. In the background there is red drapery pulled to the right.
