Formerly in the collection of Mayo, Katie Lea, until 1981.
Remarks:
In 1851 an engraving was done by Alfred Jones from the original painting of The Image Breaker in the collection of A. M. Cozzens. The engraving is approximately 7 x 11 inches, and bears the inscription "American Art Union for the U.S. District Court for the Southern Deistrict of New York."
