Inscription:  unsigned Description:  Hollow ceramic columns with different colored glazes and numbers pressed into side. Formerly located Palo Alto Civic Center, 250 Hamilton Avenue, Lobby, Palo Alto, California 94303 1986-1994. Remarks:  The sculpture was given to Palo Alto by State Assembly person Byron Sher and his wife. Initially it was installed at the Civic Center Council Chamber in early 1986 after it was accepted by the Arts Committee in December 1985. It was moved to the Civil Center lobby later in 1986 due to space concerns. In 1994, after safety issues were raised, the sculpture was disassemble and temporarily stored, but was soon relocated tot he Palo Alto City Library in 1994, but this is considered a temporary site.
