Description:
Abstract figure of a mother and child. The mother consists of two identical pieces of steel cut in an abstract human form. The pieces are mounted back-to-back, with rods joining them at various widths. The center of each side of the figure is cut out with a large oval shape. Inside the oval stands the cut-out figure of a child. The child holds onto a branch with each hand. The tall, leafed branches and the child emerge through both the front and back center cut-outs in the mother figure. The steel sculpture is painted black and stands on a concrete base.
