    Erected by the American-Aberdeen Angus Breeders Association, the Kansas Aberdeen Anugus Breeders Association, the Kansas Live Stock Association, the Kansas Historical Society, the Kansas State Board of Agriculture, the Grant Descendants, the Philip Family, and citizens of Ellis County. Commemorates the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the first angus cattle, imported from Scotland to Victoria, Kansas, by George Grant, 1822-1878. His actions improved the quality of beef and helped promote the early development of the region. IAS files contain complete transcriptions of plaques.
