Description:
Full-length winged male figure in bronze. The figure is kneeling on its proper right knee; its back is twisted and its head is turned to the proper left. In its proper left hand it holds the frame of a lyre; its proper right hand is lifted as if strumming the strings of the lyre. The sculpture sits atop a tall stone pedestal.

Sculpture is a replica of an original sculpture created in 1900. The replica was cast in Sweden and shipped to
Vallejo
by the Redevelopment Agency. The replica, along with the plaza it is situated on, was dedicated June 3, 1967. IAS files include copy of related article from
