    Description: 
    A figure of a Civil War soldier holding his rifle on his proper right side stands atop a granite shaft. The center section of the shaft is polished granite bearing the names of local citizens who served in the Civil War. Around the base of the shaft are relief carvings depicting: crossed swords and a wreath; crossed cannon tampers and a wagon wheel; an anchor; and crossed rifles.

    The memorial honors those from Uxbridge who served in the Civil War. IAS files contain a copy of the Massachusetts Historical Commission Form C - Monuments questionnaire. The memorial was erected at a cost of $2,700.
