    Description: 
    Monument consists of a figure of a Spanish American War soldier, dressed in a military uniform comprised of an open-collared shirt with rolled up sleeves, britches, high boots, and a wide-brimmed hat, stands upon a rock holding a rifle in front of him with both hands. The monument is placed atop a wide tapered base with an inscribed plaque and is set in back of a flagpole.
