The sculpture depicts the inseparability of man and woman and the joint stewardship of the earth. The holes in the piece hold significance for the artist. The five cored-out holes in the bottom and middle stones represent ears, nose, and mouth. The two small holes in the top stone represent the eyes. Other types of holes were also indicated by the artist. SOS! report includes a citation to a related article in the Pahrump Valley Times dated August 1992. Albert Szukalski was artistic project director.
