    Formerly located John Hancock Company, Federal Street, Over main arch, Quincy, Massachusetts until 1922.
    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was presented to the City of Quincy in 1951 by the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company. Mayor Thomas S. Burgin was instrumental in bringing the bust to Quincy from the old John Hancock building in Boston. The bust is now located in front of the Adams Academy, which was the site of John Hancock's birthplace and is now home to the Quincy Historical Society.
