    Owner:
Administered by First Banks System, FBS Properties Management, 601 Second Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55402
Located 517 Marquette Avenue, Facade, Minneapolis, Minnesota
    Provenance:
Formerly owned by Marquette National Bank, 517 Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota
    Remarks:
The sculpture dates from 1926, the year the 1895 building was remodelled into Egyptian style. A skyway, added to the building in 1969, destroys the continuity of the relief zone below the cornice. The property was formerly owned by Marquette National Bank. For related reading see the Minneapolis Tribune, Dec. 17, 1939. The Minneaplis Public Library's Special Collections Department (downtown branch) has a folder of news clips and brochures related to the Marquette National Bank building.
