Subject:  Object -- Musical Instrument -- Cornet Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Texas -- Galveston Sculpture Owner:  Located Strand & 23rd Street, Galveston, Texas Exhibitions:  Louisiana World Exposition, New Orleans, 1984. Remarks:  The sculpture was purchased by J. R. McConnell. The giant cornet was used as a stage prop at the 1984 New Orleans Worlds Fair before it was converted into a freestanding outdoor sculpture and placed in Galveston in 1986.
