    Description: 
    Two soldiers, a man and a woman, stand in desert battle fatigues, with full gear. The man wears a helmet and holds an M-16 rifle in his proper right hand. The woman holds a gas mask in front of her and has a rifle slung over her proper right shoulder. Her helmet is on the ground in front of her. Three surrounding benches honor area men killed in the war.

    Remarks: 
    The artists used actual Desert Storm veterans as models for the figures The sculpture was two years in the making and is dedicated to those who served in the Persian Gulf War, and to those who served in past wars and conflicts. It was dedicated by United We Stand, Greater Evansville area support group. The sculpture cost $45,500. Funds were raised through bake sales and raffles. IAS files contain a related article from the Evansville Courier, May 2, 1993, which lists media as copper.
