    Description: 
    A figure of a woman sitting on a raised ledge, turned to her proper right. She wears classical dress, including a long gown with a bared proper left shoulder. Part of her hem drapes over the top the base, a bare foot exposed. Her hair is pulled into a bun. Her proper right hand rests on top of a tablet which she supports on her proper right side. Her proper left hand holds a wreath.

    Remarks: 
    The memorial marks the graves of Charles Martin Clapp (1834-1897), Georgianna Derby Clapp (1834-1908), Georgene Lillian Clapp (1858-1919), and Harold Derby Colton (1880-1881). Charles Martin Clapp was one of the original commissioners of Forest Hills Cemetery. IAS files contain related cemetery records, including correspondence from the Flint Granite Company, dated November 12, 1910, and a photocopy of an early photograph of the memorial.
