Kennedy rests atop a tall square granite base in front of a granite wall. The memorial is installed beneath the columned portico that borders Kennedy Plaza along the Atlantic City boardwalk. At one time there was a fence extending around the front of the sculpture, and an eternal flame in front of the base, but both are now missing.
