Description:
Bronze figure of a Union soldier, mounted on a granite base. Figure'
s
proper right hand grasps rifle butt, proper left hand grasps rifle barrel. His proper left foot is forward. He wears a raincoat, boots and spurs, and a Union soldier hat. He has a strapped and shielded saber, a pistol holster, and under his raincoat, a canteen. Plaques on each side of base list Civil War dead in

.
