An African-American child stands with proper right foot forward holding a metal handle in his raised proper right hand. His head is tilted to the proper right. He is barefoot and wears brown, baggy pants held up by one suspender, and a tan shirt with short sleeves that is open in the front. The sculpture is mounted on square metal base on top of a low concrete slab.
