    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a uniformed Union infantryman stands atop a square pedestal on a tiered rough-hewn base. The figure wears a cap and has a moustache. He holds his musket by the barrel in his proper left hand with the butt at his foot. With his proper right hand, he reaches into a cartridge box on his belt and removes a cartridge. The Corps cross insignia appears in relief on the front of the cap stone.
