    (On bronze plaque on front of granite base:) THIS PLAQUE IN MEMORY OF/IGNATZ GRESSER/CPL. COMPANY D, 128TH PENNA. INFANTRY/LEHIGH COUNTY RECIPIPENTS/OF THE MEDAL OF HONOR FOR HEROISM UNDER FIRE,/SEPTEMBER 17, 1862/DEDICATED APRIL 18, 1986 signed Founder's mark appears.
    Description: 
    A standing figure of a Civil War soldier holding his rifle in front of him with his hands laced together around the barrel. He is dressed in his military uniform and his hat rests on the ground behind his proper right foot. The sculpture is mounted on a circular granite base which rests on a circular brick base. The brick portion of the base is adorned with bronze inscription plaques shaped like shields. Below the brick base is a granite base adorned with a rectangular inscription plaque.
