Description:
One of five groupings of
sculpture
placed at various sites within Battery Park. Piece includes an upright wavy marble slab. One side of the slab has a small bowl-shaped circle in the center. On the opposite side of the slab, separate and set into the concrete, is a long rectangular piece.

IAS files contain transcript of interview with artist, Nov. 21, 1992; and design information provided by T. J. Boyle and Associates. Paul Aschenbach was the primary artist working with Bill Ford, Terry Dinan, John Wittenberg, Bob Vesely and students from the University of
Vermont
. T. J. Boyle and Associates were the principal landscape architects for the park. Funding was provided by a National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant of $3,000 given in 1974 to the University of
Vermont
, with matching funds raised by the congregation of St. Paul's Cathedral, the Episcopal Church, and other local and community members.
