    Description: 
    A large monument erected on the grave of Andrew Johnson, 17th president of the United States. An eagle with spread wings atop a tall shaft which is draped with an American flag. Midway from the top is a scroll of the Constitution and a right hand over an open Bible.

    Inscription on nearby marker reads: Andrew Johnson, Seventeenth President of the United States, Born Dec. 29, 1808, Died July 31, 1875, His Faith in the People, Never Wavered. IAS files contain a copy of the dedication program which includes copies of the speeches given by Hon. George W. Jones and Hon. John C. Burch. Cost $7,000.
