    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a Civil War soldier stands atop a tall shaft which rises from a round base. Section of shaft above inscription has a coat of arms in relief. Names and sites of battles appear further up the shaft. On top stands the figure in full uniform including a long coat. He is bearded and leans on his gun.
