    Description: 
    On top of a rough-cut granite boulder, a World War I soldier wearing a helmet and carrying a rifle charges forward in a crouching run. He has a canteen on his proper right hip and a gas mask bag hanging from his proper right shoulder, resting on his proper left hip. A club is affixed to his proper left hip. He holds his rifle at his proper right hip, pointing forward, his proper right hand at the trigger, his proper left hand at the barrel grip. A small pack is strapped to the middle of his back. The sculpture is mounted atop a boulder that is slightly pinkish in color.
