    Description: 
    A bronze figure of a robed female stands on a granite pedestal before a granite stele surmounted with bronze eagles flanking an artillery shell. The female wears a veil and has her proper right hand upraised holding an object, perhaps a torch. Her head is turned upward. The monument is installed upon a square platform with raised corners.

    Remarks: 
    The memorial commemorates the soldiers, sailors, and marines of the Spanish American War, and those who died on the Battleship Maine. It was erected under the auspices of Northampton County, Pennsylvania and the Col. Charles A. Wikoff Camp No. 4, United Spanish War Veterans of Easton,Pennsylvania. The artillery shell topping the memorial is from the Maine.
