    Description: 
    A family of three in pioneer dress stands on a rounded, rectangular base from which rises a backdrop. A boy stands between his parents. His mother's arm is around his proper right shoulder. The boy's proper right arm rests on his father's proper left leg. The father holds a rifle upright in his proper right hand. The sculpture sits on a granite base, backed by a large granite slab with bronze insignia (Diam. 54 in. x D. 2 in.) of the Oregon Centennial.
