    Description: 
    A high relief carving of Lewis and Clark on horseback led by Sacagawea, their Indian guide. All are facing west. The sculpture is carved from a block of marble composed of six smaller blocks. The back is carved with a map of the area explored by Lewis and Clark, hunting scenes, and scenes of meetings with Indians.
