    Sculpture was originally located at the Sand Springs Amusement Park, also referred to as Sand Springs Lake Park. It was moved to its present location about 1928 after the park closed. IAS files include excerpts from a Tulsa County Historical Sites list, 1982; the exhibition catalog for "American Folk Art from the Ozarks to the Rockies," ca. 1975, and a related article from the Journal of the Sand Springs Pioneer-Historical Society, v. 1 no. 1, Spring 1984.
