    Description: 
    Seated figure of George Lynn Cross is installed on a square base. The figure wears academic robes over a suit and tie. He holds a book on his proper left knee, marking his place with an index finger. The chair is ornate with fringe and thick cushions. A relief of Cleo C. Cross appears on the rear of the base.
