    Remarks:
The original fountain was erected the City Council in 1887. In 1975, the fountain was restored for the American Bicentennial, with funding provided by the Warren-Trumbull Bicentennial Commission and the Warren Jr. Womens League. At that time a new pedestal and aluminum swan were added, replacing an earlier (different style) swan which was not part of the original fountainhead. A new walkway and four iron benches were also added.
In August 1985, the fountainhead was taken out and replaced with a miniature Statue of Liberty, for the Italian-American Heritage Festival. The swan was put back in the spring of 1986, but was knocked over by vandals in June. It was restored again in 1987.
IAS files contain articles from the Warren Tribune-Chronicle, July 1, 1975, Dec. 28, 1986, and Jan. 7, 1987, which list media as aluminum. SOS! survey lists media as pewter
