Elongated figure of an emaciated St. John the Baptist. He wears an animal skin and stands on two clumps of earth. His proper right hand is raised as though beckoning the viewer. He holds a globe with a cross in his proper left hand. The figure is bearded and wears an expression of pain or angst. The inscription appears on the self base in four curved, vertical columns. Sculpture stands on a square slanted base.
