    A bench with two bowler hats of the style worn by the Wright brothers. The bench has a golden brown patina and the hats are a dark grey, almost black.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture is one of nine benches placed at sites around Dayton, and based on a bench that appeared in photographs of the Wright brother's first flight. It is placed across from the artist's larger "Flyover" sculpture (IAS record 74900001). The first bench was dedicated July 4, 1996. The other benches can be found at Carillon Historical Park, Dave Hall Plaza, Dayton International Airport, Engineers Club of Dayton; Medal of Honor Park at Wright Patterson Airforce Museum; the U.S. Airforce Museum; Woodland Cemetery; Wright Brothers Airport; and Wright State University. Each location has a relationship to the Wright Brothers.
