(Base stone marker:) TO DENOTE THE SITE OF THE/OHIO STATE FAIR BICENTENNIAL TIME CAPSULE/ INTERRED DURING THE FESTIVITIES OF THE FAIR ON SEPTEMBER 6, 1976 BY THE OHIO/EXPOSITIONS COMMISSION TO BE OPENED DURING THE FESTIVITIES OF THE FAIR IN THE YEAR 2026/GOVERNOR RHODES, STATE OF OHIO Founder's mark appears.

An irregularly-shaped marker, with incised carvings which include a carousel horse; a map of Ohio (in the center of the marker); the Monument Builders of Ohio seal, and a farm plow.
