    Description:
Sculptural decoration on church facade includes emblems of Christ and the four Evangelists, and various angel groupings. The emblems are located on the portico wall in front of the main entrance of the church and represent St. Mark (the Lion), St. John (the Eagle), Christ (the Lamb), and St. Luke (the Bull).
The angels are grouped on the main pediment and lower tympanum of the church facade. Two kneeling angels, hands clasped in prayer, are set on each end of a gabled roof above the main pediment, facing out at an angle. A celtic cross stands at the apex of the gable. Within the pediment tympanum, in high relief, are two angels in profile facing inward, flanking an altar decorated with the Chi-Rho sign of Christ. The angels are flanked by the letters Alpha and Omega. Two additional angels, who crouch in profile behind the inner angels, look away from the altar. The main pediment is supported by six Corinthian columns. Under the pediment over the central doorway, a lower tympanum relief features two seated angels, in profile. They flank a circular emblem of Christ containing letters (JHS), with a cross overlapping the middle letter. The angel on the left plays a harp; the angel on the right holds a lute-like instrument.
