    Description: 
    Life-size sculpture of Christ. His body bends slightly forward at the waist, and the head is turned down to the proper right. In his proper right forearm he holds a lamb. His knees are bent; the proper right leg extends forward with the foot flat on the ground. The proper left leg touches the ground with the ball of the foot. He holds a staff in his proper left hand. The overall appearance is rustic and geometric.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was moved from the courtyard of Mercy Hospital to the front of the hospital building in 1979 due to remodeling. The SOS survey indicates that the sculpture's design is based on a 19th century painting by the German artist Bernard Blockhurst.
