    Remarks:
This version of Kitson's "Minuteman," installed where the Revolution ended, differs in a few minor ways from the "Minuteman" version installed where the Revolution began, in Lexington, Massachusetts. Most significantly, the Newburgh version of the Minuteman figure wears a hat. Originally the sculpture was part of a fountain with a stone foundation erected by M. J. Dwyer of Newburgh, New York. The inscription on a small bronze plaque located in front of the sculpture reads: THE MINUTEMAN/GIVEN BY/DAVID BARCLAY/NOVEMBER XI/MCMXXIV.
