    Remarks:
New York's Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts arranged for the artist to use the plant facilities at the Cherry-Burrell Corporation, an industrial stainless steel tank producer, for two months to create his sculpture. The artist selected his materials from the scrap pile and relied on the technical expertise of the welders at Cherry-Burrell who used their machinery to cut and bend the stainless steel into shape. The artist's stay at the Cherry-Burrell Corporation was funded through a $3,000 grant from the Mid-Atlantic States Consortium. The sculpture was originally installed in a park near Lock 17, south of the Mohawk River, but was moved to the Ann Street Park in 1990.
