Description:
Bust of Poppenhusen without any adornment rests on a tiered base made of two colors of stone. The monument is installed in a triangular-shaped park whichis enclosed by a low fence.

. He founded the Poppenhusen Institute, the First Reformed Church and the Poppenhusen Library. He was also responsible for paved roads to

and for building the
Flushing
and Northside Railroad. The
sculpture
was made possible through contributions made by local citizens.
