    The sculptural decoration on the building includes the pediment design and arched panels flanking the entrance doors. Centered in the pediment is the Bible, with rays disseminating its message in all directions. A pair of classically-draped figures appear in each of the two arch spandrels.

    Remarks: 
    Dr. Paul J. Pelz, one of the designers of the Library of Congress, was the architect of the Hall of Christ. The cornerstones were laid on June 7, 1900 and the building was completed in 1909.
