This kinetic sculpture resembles a scale or seesaw. A large steel vertical arch has a horizontal bar which runs through it, hanging freely and supported and suspended by stainless steel cables. To one end of the bar is bolted a solid horn-shaped concrete piece painted red, the tip facing downward. On the other end of the bar is an open half-drum shape, suspended by cable. Underneath this, in the ground, is a small tack-shaped element. When the drum fills with snow or water, the drum end of the bar moves downward. The sculpture is set directly on the ground.
