    An abstract fountain sculpture consisting of intersecting planes of broken I-beams in two welded configurations. The sculpture is set in a rectangular reflecting pool in a sunken plaza. Lights illuminate the fountain at night.

    The fountain sculpture was commissioned specifically for Binghamton's Governmental Plaza and cost $205,000. Funding was provided by Binghamton's Art in Public Places One Percent for Art Program. IAS files contain newspaper articles from the Sun-Bulletin (Binghamton, NY), June 15, 1972; April 27, 1973, pg. 3; the Press (Binghamton, NY), May 14, 1973; July 15, 1973; May 24, 1974; and the Evening Press (Binghamton, NY), May 26, 1972; and a brochure entitled, "The Plaza Gallery & Sculpture Court, Governmental Plaza, Binghamton, New York."
