    Description: 
    Bas-relief portrait of Lulu Cooper is affixed to a marker with a curved, Doric-like cap. The figure wears period clothes and has shoulder-length hair. The relief is recessed into an oval form.

    Commissioned by William B. Cooper for $1,000 in memory of his daughter, Lulu. Although the figure is a likeness of Miss Cooper, the model for the sculpture was reportedly Kate Kellogg. IAS files contain an excerpt from an article from the Sandy Hill Herald, Sept. 18, 1884.
