    Description: 
    Family memorial consisting of a polished granite marker shaped like an obelisk above a rough-hewn stepped base. On each face of the marker is a bronze bas-relief plaque. On the front face of the marker, recessed in the center, is a three-dimensional bronze bust of Colonel Simeon Sammons. Surrounding the bust is a bas-relief featuring two Revolutionary War soldiers, seated above the bust, below which threads a ribbon on either side of the bust inscribed with Civil War battle names. On the back side of the marker is a bronze Liberty Cap Seal. On the remaining two sides of the marker are plaques with text commemorating the family.
