Description:  Cement and stone figure of Lucien B. Maxwell seated with both feet planted firmly on the ground. He holds a rifle across his lap. He wears a white shirt, beige vest, black pants, blue bandana, and a black brimmed hat, made of black sheet metal. He has a black moustache and long black hair that hangs down his back. Maxwell ruled over a 2 million acre Mexican Land Grant which later became known as the Maxwell Land Grant. This statue replaces an earlier statue of Maxwell, vandalized in 1935.
