The inscription on a plaque in the wall behind the sculpture reads: IN MEMORIAM/Edward Dillon 1913-1970/Robert J. Fuccello 1933-1970/Two highly skilled artisans, masters of the craft/of construction died of injuries in a trial erection of Alexander Calder's stabile "Five Disks, One Empty"/on June 3, 1970./The price of commitment is never ending.
