    Description: 
    Full-length high relief female figure of an angel with wings. Her arms are raised over her shoulders and she holds a tablet, or plaque, in her hands above her head. She wears long flowing robes. A girdle of passion flowers encircles her hips and a crown of flowers encircles her head. The gilded bronze sculpture stands in a shallow rectangular niche.

    Nearby plaque: "Angel with Tablet. Amor Caritas. New York City, 1880, 1887; Paris 1898. This statue was purchased by the French government for the Luxembourg Museum. It was exhibited at the Exposition Universale of 1900, where Saint Gaudens won the Grand Prize. This version was cast in bronze from the original plaster in 1975."
